My top tips for bright and luminous skin are:
1. Always wear 50+ SPF sun cream every single day for the rest of your life, no matter the weather as the last step in your morning skincare routine.
2. Incorporate a vitamin C serum into your morning skincare routine. My favourite is c e ferulic as I have a drier skin type!
3. Hydrate your skin with a Hyaluronic acid daily before your moisturiser to maintain supple skin and a healthy glow, avoiding a dry or dull complexion.
4. Maintain a consistent skincare routine AM and PM to enhance and maintain results. Consistency is key!
5. Can use a retinol based product if your skin tolerates it to improve cell turnover and help prevent the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. This can also minimise discolouration and give you a brighter complexion. START SLOW, 1-2 times per week at first.
These things take time and you have to stick to it, even through the bad days, until you start seeing amazing, real results in months to come!
A good skincare routine can only do so much. Drinking plenty of fluids everyday, 2L of water per day will hydrate you from within which will brighten your skin, maintain skin elasticity and reduce wrinkles. Eating a healthy, well balanced diet rich in vitamins and minerals, getting 30 minutes of exercise per day (even if it’s just a walk!) and making sure to have a well rested sleep every night 7-8 hours. (They call it beauty sleep for a reason!!) All these steps will nourish you within and your skin will show it by having a healthy glow which will in turn make you feel beautiful and confident!
