Glowing skin - the pot of gold at the end of every woman’s skincare regime. Follow these steps to glassy skin heaven:
1. Hydrate, hydrate, hydrate! That’s water, not wine.
2. Gentle cleansing. Harsh chemicals will strip your skin of its pH balance, so keep it gentle with something like Skinceuticals’ aptly named Gentle Cleanser.
3. Toner. ‘What’s the point?!’ I hear you cry. A good toner will remove any leftover makeup or product, making sure your skin is in prime condition for your next products. You’ll struggle to find a better toner than Skinceuticals’ Equalizing Toner.
3. Serum. In the morning, I make it CE Ferulic; in the evening it’s Resveratrol.
4. Moisturise. I use a water based moisturiser as my skin doesn’t like the silicone/gel like products. I keep it simple with Cerave (PM- I like to keep my sunscreen separate). At night, I use A.G.E Interrupter Advanced.
5. Sunscreen. Zinc based, always.
6. At night, my final step is a blend of Tretinoin with Hydroquinone because I’m in my 40s so need to work harder at cell turnover. You younger ladies can get away with retinols. Skinceuticals’ Retinol 0.3 then 1.0 when your skin has acclimatised is the perfect introduction to this vital step for glowing skin.
7. Makeup. Invest in products that incorporate skincare - I like Ilia tinted serums for extra glow.
8. Regular facials. I use Skinceuticals’ Hydrating B5 mask but I also like their Phyto Corrective mask and my skin is always plump and glowing after each use.
And that’s how I get my skin looking healthy and happy!
