Better on normal skin
As a member of the SkinCeuticals House of Skin Community, I was so happy to receive the new HA Intensifier Multi-Glycan Serum from @skinceuticals to test in exchange for my honest review. It promises to instantly plump and visibly smooth fine lines using a potent mix of pure hyaluronic acid, Proxylane™, and an innovative post-biotic ferment. The serum aims to boost glycosaminoglycans, including hyaluronic acid, in the skin’s surface layers to give an immediate plumping effect with longer lasting hydration and improved skin elasticity and firmness.
The serum comes in a dark glass bottle which helps to delay degradation and has a pipette dropper to apply without wastage. It is a darker shade and thicker texture than most HA serums. It has a lightweight texture that is very easy to apply the recommended 4-6 drops which are patted into the forehead, checks, chin and neck. It has a lovely silky feel on application but needs about 30 seconds to completely dry before adding more product.
I have very dry skin and after 2 weeks of use I noticed a slight improvement in the overall texture of my skin with a definite improvement in smoothness. The serum seemed to help with skin smoothness and provided a subtle plumping effect. However, I have found it necessary to use an additional moisturiser in the drier areas which I can often exclude from my routine when using other HA products if I am in a rush.
I think the serum is probably best for skin which is less dry than mine but am surprised with the level of ingredients contained it doesn’t hydrate my skin fully.
